WECSOG Student

School is in session!!! Yup, That’s the Bandit in his WECSOG student garb checking out the tools that he will need for the “Frank-N-FAL” Izzy Carbine build. If you look closely, you can see that Ol’ Wiley is looking over my work making sure I’m doing it right. It appears that over two decades ago, I somehow knew I was destined to be a WECSOG student. Going through my tools the other day looking to see what I need to order or purchase locally for my upcoming FAL project, I happened to look in the lid of my top tool chest and there he was staring me in the face…

Wiley Back in the mid to late 70’s, I used to work on cars for a living (Raced them too). For some reason that I don’t remember, something possessed me to place that sticker in the top lid of my toolbox. Was it fate??? Though the sticker is over 20 years old and parts of him are missing, I swear he winked at me!!! It’s funny how something you’re so used to seeing just goes unnoticed until you’re reminded of it somehow. I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands, but this will be my first crack at working on firearms. I have the mechanical ability, I have the desire, and with the wealth of knowledge I’ve found on The FAL Files Forums, things should go smoothly. Wish me luck as I try to become a graduate of the Wile E. Coyote School Of Gunsmithin’.
